Ukraine loses its exclusive status as a transit country for gas to Europe now the Nord Stream pipeline is being commissioned, Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin told reporters.
"Ukraine is our long-standing, traditional partner," Putin said.
"Like in any transit country there’s always the temptation to take advantage of your transit status," he said.
"That exclusivity is now disappearing," he said.
"Our relations will be acquiring a more and more civilized nature," he said.
