The health of a group of Ukrainians detained in Libya is satisfactory, and talks on their release are continuing, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has reported.

"Ukrainian diplomats came to see the detained Ukrainians yesterday. They are not complaining about their health, and they have been provided with food and water," Foreign Ministry spokesman Oleksandr Dykusarov told Interfax-Ukraine on Sept. 12.

He said that talks on the release of the Ukrainian citizens were being conducted at various levels.

As reported, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry on September 5 confirmed the detention in Libya of 23 Ukrainian civilian specialists. One of them has already been released with the assistance of diplomats, and the rest are still being checked.

The ministry said that 19 of the Ukrainian citizens were being held in a dormitory, and three others were at the nearby Mitiga Airport.
