Nearly two-thirds of Ukrainians are not happy with their life, Research & Branding Group said, commenting on a poll of Aug. 12-22.

"Regardless of the region they live in, 62% of the Ukrainians are not happy. Thirty-five percent are satisfied with their life, and 3% are unable to answer the question," Group founder Yevhen Kopatko said in Kyiv on Sept.12.

The Group interviewed 2,075 Ukrainians in 24 regions of Ukraine and Crimea. The error keeps within 2.2%.

In the words of Kopatko, the most frequent feelings of the Ukrainians this August were anxiety (36%), hope (35%), optimism (21%), confusion (29%) and despair (19%).

Seventy percent described the current economic position of Ukraine as bad, 28% said it was medium or good, and 2% failed to answer the question.

Sixty-three percent of the Ukrainians said that the national political situation was not stable, and only 7% gave the opposite answer. Thirty percent failed to answer the question.

Eighty-two percent said they took no part in public organizations. Six percent participated in the activity of trade unions, and three percent in associations of home owners. Two percent are members of interest clubs or public organizations, 1% are members of charity organizations and political parties, and 3% cannot answer the question.
