UNITER announced a competition in which Ukrainian civil society organizations can participate by forming a coalition and submitting projects by Sept. 28, 2011.

According to a press release distributed to reporters during a press conference in Kyiv on Sept. 15, the competition is aimed at uniting the efforts of the local media and national civil society organizations to promote national reforms in Ukraine.

Representative from the Renaissance Foundation Oleksiy Orlovsky said that priority subjects of the submitted projects could be reform in the spheres of housing and utilities, education, energy efficiency, and the development of small and medium businesses.

According to him, the projects should be targeted at the implementation of reforms at the national level, but projects of reform at the local level will also be welcome.
