A commission from UEFA's medical department has drawn positive conclusions about Ukraine's readiness to host the Euro 2012 European Football Championship, but found some problems, according to Deputy Head of the National Agency for Preparations for and Hosting Euro 2012 Oleksandr Birson.

"The conclusions are mainly positive from the viewpoint of the readiness of facilities and conditions for fans. There were two conclusions that require improvement," he told reporters at a press conference in Kyiv on Monday.

According to Birson, firstly, the specific names of people responsible for medical treatment should be stipulated.

"This refers to all levels of medical treatment, wherever it is at medical establishments, stadiums, or airports," he said.

In addition, the language issue for medical workers has to be improved.

Birson said that control rooms would be created in the cities that host the championship to accept calls in several languages.

In addition, English-speaking senior students of medical educational establishments will assist medical workers.

According to Birson, medical workers in the host cities are learning English language so as to be able to communicate with foreigners.
