Dubai, October 20 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The stadium in Lviv that will host the matches of the Euro 2012 European Football Championship will be opened on time, Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister and Infrastructure Minister Borys Kolesnikov has said.

"I don’t know who’s spreading such rumors. Tickets are already on sale. Everything will go to schedule," he told Interfax-Ukraine in Dubai on Thursday, where, as head of the Ukrainian delegation, he was studying the work of aboveground metropolitan railway stations. He was commenting on recent reports in the media that the date for the opening of the Lviv stadium could be moved from Oct. 29 to Nov. 9.

The sale of tickets for the opening of the stadium started on Oct. 19. About 31,000 invitations will be distributed. More than 3,000 of them will be given out free.

Some 75% of these tickets will cost Hr 400. Another 800 tickets will be sold for Hr 350.

U.S. pop singer Anastacia and Ukrainian singer Ruslana will perform at the grand opening of the stadium.

The entire ceremony will last an hour and 45 minutes. The event will begin at 1930 and be broadcast on the Ukraina TV Channel.

The first match between the national football teams of Ukraine and Austria will be played at the stadium in Lviv on Nov. 15.
