You're reading: Government to create coordinating center for traffic management during Euro 2012

The Cabinet of Ministers is planning to create an organizing committee for ensuring the functioning of transport and traffic management during the finals of the Euro 2012 European Football Championship.

A respective decision is stipulated in government resolution No. 1095 of October 26.

According to the document, the center will be headed by Ukraine’s deputy prime minister and infrastructure minister.

The staff of the center will also include the director of the national agency on preparing for and holding the Euro 2012 finals and implementing infrastructure projects (UkrEuroInfraProject), a deputy head of the State Road Service (Ukravtodor), a deputy head of the State Inspectorate for Safety on Road Transport, the director of the department of the State Aviation Service, a deputy director general of Ukraine’s state rail operator Ukrzaliznytsia, a deputy head of Kyiv City State Administration, and representatives of local government agencies in Donetsk, Lviv and Kharkiv.
