Officials who are not coping with their duties in the process of reforming the country should voluntary leave their posts, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has said.

"Those who cannot cope should step aside or take an easier job," Yanukovych said, closing the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on Wednesday.

The president stressed that he proposes voluntary resignations, as he is personally against expelling people "for their shortcomings." Yanukovych noted that everybody has flaws.

According to the president, Ukraine needs a strong, powerful team of managers to propel the country forward.
