Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych will meet with Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski on Monday, November 28, the head of the Ukrainian president's administration, Serhiy Liovochkin, has said.

The meeting will be held as a part of a working visit of the Polish president to Ukraine, Yanukovych’s press service reported.

According to Liovochkin, the two presidents will focus on Ukraine’s relations with the European Union, in particular the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement.

"Given the current presidency of Poland of the European Union, the main issue will be organization of the EU-Ukraine summit in Kyiv," the presidential administration chief added.

During the visit, Komorowski and Yanukovych are also expected to participate in a ceremony to commemorate the victims of totalitarianism at the Bykivnia Graves National Historical Memorial Complex in Bykivnia, outside Kyiv, where the Soviet NKVD secret police buried thousands of executed political prisoners during the Stalinist period.

"This will be the ninth meeting of the presidents of Ukraine and Poland this year, which demonstrates the effectiveness of the strategic partnership between the two states," Liovochkin said.
