You're reading: IMF appoints new mission chief for Ukraine

The International Monetary Fund announced on March 5 appointment of a new mission chief for Ukraine.

"Chris Jarvis, a UK national, has been appointed mission chief for Ukraine,” Max Alier, the IMF resident representative in Ukraine said in a statement.

“Mr. Jarvis has extensive experience working on emerging markets. Most recently he has been mission chief for Belarus,” Alier added.

Jarvis replaces Thanos Arvanitis who was mission chief since early 2010.
