MOSCOW - Ukraine wants to see integration processes within the CIS, particularly in economic terms, Ukrainian First Deputy Prime Minister Valeriy Khoroshkovsky has said.

"We are closely monitoring the processes happening within the CIS, the Eurasian Economic Community, and, of course, we support these integration processes, first and foremost, in economic terms," he said at a briefing in Moscow on Monday after the meeting of the Interstate Council of the Eurasian Economic Community.

Khoroshkovsky recalled that Ukraine has an observer status in EurAsEC. When asked whether the question of changing Ukraine’s status in this community was raised, he said: "No."

As reported, a Ukrainian delegation led by President Viktor Yanukovych participated in a meeting of the EurAsEC Interstate Council in Moscow on Monday, March 19.
