Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych is planning to attend an informal summit of the heads of the CIS states in Moscow on May 15, a Ukrainian diplomat told Interfax-Ukraine.

"The president of Ukraine will have an opportunity to have an informal conversation with the newly elected President of the Russia Federation Vladimir Putin and his colleagues from the CIS countries in Moscow after the inauguration of the Russian president," the source said.

At the same time, the diplomat said none of the leaders from other countries would attend Putin’s inauguration.

Ambassador of Ukraine to Russia Volodymyr Yelchenko will represent Ukraine at the ceremony.
