Novo-Ogaryovo, Jan 5 (Interfax) - Ukraine currently owes Gazprom $614 million for gas supplied in 2008, and if Ukraine continues to illegitimately siphon off gas from the export pipeline system, this debt could grow to billions of dollars, said Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller

"If this continues, the debt will soon amount to billions of dollars," Miller said at a meeting with Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin

Since January 1, 2009, Ukraine "has actually 'stolen' 65.3 million cubic meters of Russian gas on its territory," he said.
