The Russian news agency took note of lawmakers for pro-presidential Our Ukraine who supported the failed opposition Party of Regions attempt to dislodge Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko. Those included: Petro Yushchenko, Oksana Bilozir, Ihor Kril, Vasyl Petyovka, Mykhailo Polyanych, Lesya Horobets, Viktor Topolov and Mykola Kulchynsky. This was the second failed attempt by the Party of Regions to sack the Tymoshenko cabinet. Earlier in July, 2008 the motion of no-confidence gathered 174 votes.
Simultaneously, three Party of Regions lawmakers, Vasyl Hrytsak, Svyatoslav Piskun
and Taras Chornovil, defied the party discipline and did not vote for
the cabinet dismissal.
