Ukrainian President Viktor Yuschenko has thanked Kenyan President Mwai Kibaki for his support for Ukraine's efforts to free the Ukrainian cargo ship the Faina from Somali pirates, the presidential press service reported on Friday.

"I am sure that the crisis we lived through will only strengthen the mutual understanding between Ukraine and Kenya, as well as our desire for developing mutually beneficial cooperation," Yuschenko said in a letter to President Kibaki.

The Ukrainian president also assured his Kenyan counterpart that Ukraine is ready to develop all lines of cooperation with Kenya. var gaJsHost = (("https:" == document.location.protocol) ?
