The Greek authorities have released the Vasyl Bozhenko vessel owned by the Kyiv-based Ukrrichflot shipping company, which they arrested on February 25 for the debt for fuel.

Ukrainian News learned this from a statement by the press service of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

"According to a report we received at 22:20 [Kyiv time] on February 27 from the Ukrainian Embassy in Greece, the Vasyl Bozhenko vessel (owned by Ukrrichflot) was released on February 27. The vessel on its route," the statement reads.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs gives no further detailed information about the release of the Ukrainian Vasyl Bozhenko vessel.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the Greek authorities on February 25 arrested the Ukrainian Vasyl Bozhenko vessel in the Heraklion port, the island of Crete, Greece, for a fuel debt.

It was originally planned that a court will consider the case on the island of Crete on March 20, 2009.
