You're reading: Dniproavia’s plane makes emergency landing in Turkey

A plane owned by the Dnipropetrovsk-based Dniproavia air company performing a flight en route Dnipropetrovsk-Istanbul made an emergency landing at Istanbul Ataturk international airport in Turkey at 09:45.

Ukrainian News learned this from a statement by the press service of the Transport and Communications Ministry, the wording of which was made available to the agency.

According to the statement, on landing the plane performing flight No. Z6207 drove further than the end of the runway.

According to the statement there were 44 passengers and 4 crewmembers on board. No casualties are reported.

Passengers from Istanbul to Dnipropetrovsk will be brought by another plane, which has taken off from the Dnipropetrovsk airport.

A decision is being agreed to create a commission for investigation into the incident.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the Dnipropetrovsk-based Dniproavia air company ended 2008 with a loss of UAH 215.019 million.

The Dniproavia open joint-stock air company was created on the basis of the Dniproavia state-run company in 1996 and unites the Defense Ministry international airport.

It includes the Dnipropetrovsk international airport.

The company performs domestic and international flights.

100% of its shares belong to the State Property Fund.
