Nemyria notes importance of European Bank for Reconstruction and Development's financial support for projects to prepare for Euro 2012

Ukrainian Vice Premier Hryhoriy Nemyria during his official visit to Britain discussed bilateral cooperation between Ukraine and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) with EBRD President Thomas Mirow, according to the government's press service.

Nemyria said that Ukraine wants to see the EBRD provide financial support for investment projects linked with Ukraine's preparations for hosting the Euro 2012 European Football Championship Euro, the press service said.

"Effective cooperation between Ukraine and the EBRD contributing to the economic development of Ukraine positively influences our integration in the European Union economic area," Nemyria said.

Nemyria also described the dynamics of the development of relations between Ukraine and the EBRD as the indicator for cooperation with foreign investors.

In addition, the officials also discussed the Ukrainian government's efforts regarding overcoming the consequences of the world financial crisis, and cooperation between Ukraine and other financial establishments, in particular, the International Monetary Fund.
