Only four people who were on the list of Ukraine's richest people managed to get on the 2009 list of billionaires prepared by Ukraine's Korrespondent magazine: Rinat Akhmetov, Ihor Kolomoisky, Viktor Pinchuk and Hennadiy Boholiubov.

Akhmetov, who owns FC Shakhtar Donetsk, was worth $9.6 billion in 2009, more than a three-fold drop from $31.1 billion in 2008.

"Although Akhmetov's assets lost 70% of their value, he is still the richest person in the former Soviet Union," the magazine reports.

Kolomoisky is second on the list with $2.3 billion ($6.6 billion in 2008), next comes Pinchuk with $2.2 billion ($8.8 billion in 2008) followed by Boholiubov with $1.7 billion ($6.2 billion).

According to Korrespondent, "the wealth of many millionaires and billionaires rolled back several years in just a few months. And some rolled back for a much longer period." Businessman Roman Lunin, the owner of the Velyka Kyshenia retail network, whose assets fell by 11 times, led this fall, the magazine reported.
