Death toll of Donetsk mine blast reaches 12, one miner missing

As reported, the explosion took place at the Skochynsky mine owned by the state-run enterprise Donetsk Coal Energy Company at 1015 on June 8. The explosion was caused by a coal and gas emission. According to the Ukrainian authorities, there were 51 miners in the area at the time the accident occurred. A total of 344 miners were in the mine at the time of the blast.
