Kyiv, June 25 (Interfax-Ukraine) - The Prosecutor General's Office (PGO) has confirmed that MP Taras Chornovil has agreed to the exhumation of the body of his father, the leader of People's Movement of Ukraine, Viacheslav Chornovil, to investigate the circumstances of his death.

"We confirm that Taras Chornovil has agreed to the exhumation of his father's body. Investigators have all of the other grounds to conduct this procedure," the PGO press service told Interfax-Ukraine on Thursday.

A law enforcer told the agency that Chornovil's grave is being currently guarded to "prevent interested individuals who might appear influencing [the situation]." Chornovil was buried in the Baikove cemetery in Kyiv.

Chornovil was killed on the Boryspil-Zolotonosha road outside Kyiv on March 25, 1999, when his car collided with a KamAZ trailer truck that was turning on the road.
