Kerch Strait It is necessary, first and foremost, to determine the status of a project on the construction of a bridge across the Kerch Strait before commenting on the possible implementation of this project, Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko has said.

"I think that in general, the project is interesting and extremely serious, and it has to be discussed more seriously at all levels, including [at the level of] the national authorities. We should say that this project has a status. This is not a project of Kerch or Krasnodar region, we're talking about a pan-European project," he said at a press conference in Simferopol on Friday.
