Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko has said she is confident that a planned football showdown between the government teams of Ukraine and Poland will go ahead, but noted she has yet to complete her training for the match.

"I'm still in training… I still have to train a bit to be worthy of representing Ukraine," she said, when asked whether the match, which was earlier announced by Ukrainian Vice Premier for European Integration Hryhoriy Nemyria, would actually take place.

Tymoshenko expressed confidence that such an event would be held.

"I'm sure such a match will be held," she said.

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk also expressed readiness to participate in the match.

"We're ready to play this match at any time, but I have only one condition - Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko should be the captain of the Ukrainian team," he said.
