AP The formation of an intergovernmental commission on cooperation between Ukraine and the United States and the launch of a working group on energy security may result from the visit of U.S. Vice President Joe Biden to Kyiv, Ukrainian Ambassador to the United States Oleh Shamshur has told Interfax-Ukraine in an interview.

He added that the U.S. side understands the importance of reforming and restructuring cooperation mechanisms.

"I also hope that a working group on energy security will be launched during the visit. It was formed earlier, there has been a decision to start its work, and we hope that we will be able to hold meetings of both this working group and the intergovernmental commission this year," he said.
