Siemens proposing erect temporal terminals at airports of cities hosting EURO 2012

The Siemens multinational concern is proposing that the Transport and Communications Ministry erect temporal terminals at airports of the cities that will be hosting the European Football Championship 2012, a spokesperson for Siemens Ukraine has informed Ukrainian News.

In his words, on July 21 representatives of the Transport and Communications Ministry and of Siemens Ukraine met at the ministry and the company presented its achievements in this sphere.

Specifically, Siemens is able to erect a temporal terminal at an airport for nine months.

Temporal terminal consists of demountable structures, it performs all main functions of an ordinary terminal, in particular, it is equipped with passengers arrival/departure zone, luggage conveying system, complete electronic security system for passengers and luggage, as well as registration stand.

At the same time, the spokesperson says, there are other variants, like lease such a terminal for any period of time.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, Siemens is the world's leading manufacturer of electronics and electric machinery for the manufacturing, power industries and healthcare.

Siemens Ukraine was founded in 1997, it is a subsidiary of Siemens.

The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) confirmed Kyiv, Donetsk, Lviv, and Kharkiv as the cities to host EURO 2012.
