Yushchenko congratulates national football team on victory
Oct 11, 2009 at 17:24 | Ukrainian NewsPresident Viktor Yuschenko has congratulated the Ukrainian national football team on a victory over England in Dnipropetrovsk on October 10 in FIFA World Cup 2010 Qualifying Round.
Ukrainian News learned this from a posting on the Web site of the Ukrainian president.
"Receive my sincere congratulations on winning a victory of principle importance in a qualifying match for FIFA World Cup 2010," the porting reads.
Yuschenko said the victory over one of the nest national football teams of the world shows the strength of the Ukrainian team and its ability to beat any opponent.
"On behalf of all Ukrainian fans I thank you for high professionalism, the sport courage, and the will to win," Yuschenko said.
The Ukrainian president wishes the national football team good health, happiness, energy, and further achievements on football grounds.
The Ukrainian football national team won a 1-0 victory over England in Dnipropetrovsk on October 10.
