You're reading: Yatseniuk says state management system should be simplified

Leader of NGO Front of Changes Arseniy Yatseniuk has said that the country's bulky state management system should be simplified, and consequently funds could be saved on maintaining officials and exercising tight control over the endorsement of any decisions.

“Administrative reform is unavoidable. But this administrative
reform has to have the sole goal of controlling the management of the
country. If the head of state gives an instruction, this instruction
should be implemented here, in the districts. Then the system will
work,” he said at a national gathering in Uzhgorod, his organization’s
press service reported on Monday.

He said that more administrative reform is required, first and
foremost, to restore economic stability in the country. To do so, in
his opinion, Ukraine should cut spending on management functions.
