Lytvyn: Ukraine needs fair presidential elections to restore international image
Oct 19, 2009 at 21:30 | Interfax-UkraineLytvyn said this at a round table meeting on Ukraine’s presidential elections held at Chatham House, formally known as the Royal Institute of International Affairs, in London on Monday.
“As a citizen and as a speaker, I believe that we need fair elections,” Lytvyn told the participants of the round table meeting.
According to him, the fair presidential elections will held restore the country’s image in the world.
The speaker also said that Ukraine needs legitimate president. All Ukrainian presidents didn’t feel themselves to be truly legitimate, even if they didn’t admit it in public, he said.
