The Constitutional Court will announce its decision in the case involving the constitutionality of certain provisions of the Law on Presidential Elections on October 20.

The press service of the Constitutional Court announced this in a statement.

The decision will be announced at 14:00.

According to the statement, the Constitutional Court's Chief Justice Andrii Stryzhak will address a press conference after announcement of the court's decision.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the Constitutional Court began considering the constitutionality of certain provisions of the Law on Presidential Elections on October 7.

President Viktor Yuschenko filed a petition challenging the constitutionality of certain provisions of the Law on Presidential Elections.

Forty-eight parliamentary deputies later filed a similar petition with the Constitutional Court.

The Presidential Secretariat's deputy head Ihor Popov recently said that the Constitutional Court might make a decision on the petition in which Yuschenko challenged the constitutionality of certain provisions of the Law on Presidential Elections by October 14.
