SBU denies report of alleged closure of capital drugstores where necessary medicines not available
Nov 3, 2009 at 12:18 | Interfax-UkraineAs the press service of the SBU reported on Monday, on November 1-2 the special service in fact conducted inspections of some drugstores in several cities so as "to illuminate illegal obstacles and abuses undertaken by drugstores in relation to the availability of medicines for citizens."
According to the press center of the SBU, 29 statements were composed and officially sent to the Health Ministry in order to provide drugstores with the necessary medicines and not to allow an unreasonable rise in the price of medicines.
The press center said that "SBU has not taken any restrictive measures against drugstores, which continue to work under their ordinary regimes."
The SBU said it would continue the monitor the activity of drugstores regarding the availability of medicines for the public.
