Ivano-Frankivsk, November 3 (Interfax-Ukraine) - The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine will not buy express tests for À/H1N1 flu virus.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko said this at a meeting dedicated to urgent measures to be taken in Ivano-Frankivsk region to detect and cure people suffering from influenza and acute respiratory infections.

Tymoshenko said the tests do not give reliable results. "That is why we discussed the situation and decided that buying the tests is a waste of money," she said.

According to the premier, the patients with flu and acute respiratory infections will be treated by broad-spectrum medications within first three days and will be taken specimens for analysis.
