Nov 4, 2009 at 12:32Donych said this at a press conference in Simferopol on Tuesday.
"Currently on the peninsula there is no seasonal flu as such, and there is also no À/H1N1 flu. At the same time, there is seasonal increase in acute respiratory illnesses. This is connected with the change of climate conditions and temperature," Donych said.
According to the Health Minister of Crimea, in Crimea an average number of people taken ill per day was 380-600 in recent days.
"As of today, a total of 2, 196 cases of people with acute respiratory illnesses have been registered, which is almost three times more compared to recent days, but this was forecasted. This is our usual situation. We haven't exceeded a sickness rate of 55 sick persons per 10, 000 of the population, according to the Crimean republican sanitary epidemic station," Donych said.
