You're reading: Police record numerous violations in medical product sales at drugstores of Ukraine

The police during inspections have recorded significant violations by drugstores working in Ukraine, and as a result, dozens of drugstores could be deprived of their licenses.

The Interior Ministry’s department for media liaisons and international activity reported on Friday that a total of 448 police groups out of more than 1, 300 employees of the police are checking drugstores for violations during the sale of medical products purchased using budget funds or delivered as humanitarian aid.

The police employees are also checking the obligatory presence of a minimum stock of preventive medicines, drugs and means of individual protection in drugstores.

Moreover, police personnel are monitoring the delivery, distribution and use of humanitarian aid from other countries in connection with the epidemic of flu and they are also checking that these medical products are not sold at drugstores or by physical entities.

Since October 30, the police have carried out 2, 800 inspections (at 2, 000 drugstores and 62 wholesale suppliers of medical products). A total of 450 violations during the trade in medical products were recorded.
