Ukraine has recorded 67 cases of swine flu, with 14 dying from the virus, First Deputy Health Minister Vasyl Lazoryshynets said on Nov. 10.

Lazoryshynets told a briefing in Kyiv that altogether 1, 031, 587 people in Ukraine had contracted the flu byNov. 10and that 52, 742 of them were currently in hospital, which is a lot fewer than the day before.

He said that if at least one person has been diagnosed with A/HIN1 influenza, or swine flu, in any of Ukraine's regions, everyone diagnosed with the flu in that region receives swine flu treatment.

Swine flu is spreading in Ukraine, Lazoryshynets said. "In my opinion, quarantines need to continue," he said.
