Ukraine's government gets another $1.3 billion from IMF as part of special drawing rights conversion

The State Treasury of Ukraine on Nov. 13 received $1.3 billion as part of the conversion of Special Drawing Rights (SDRs) allocated by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to the country, Regions Party MP Mykhailo Papiyev has said.

He said in parliament onNov. 18that by Nov. 6, the Ukrainian government had already received $470 million under this scheme.

"There is currently Hr 10 billion on treasury accounts," Papiyev said, adding that this amount is sufficient to implement the law on a rise in social standards.

He also called on all parliamentary factions to reach agreement on the mechanism of control over the use of funds kept on treasury accounts.
