Ukraine will do all it can to ensure that the Kerch-Poti ferry route project is implemented as soon as possible, Ukrainian President Victor Yushchenko has said.

He made the comment at a joint press conference with Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili in Kyiv on Nov. 19.

"We’ll do all we can to ensure that the dynamics of this project rise each month and each quarter," Yushchenko said.

He said that the implementation of transit projects is promising for Ukraine. He also called for new approaches to be drafted for joint cooperation.

He expressed hope that an action plan for further work would be drawn up at the next meeting of the Ukrainian-Georgian inter-governmental commission on trade and economic cooperation.
