The Cabinet of Ministers has instructed the Health Ministry to provide registration of vaccines for the influenza A (H1N1) until Dec. 15, 2009. The governmental issued the relevant resolution No.1387 dated Nov. 18.

The Cabinet of Ministers has instructed the Health Ministry to submit until Nov. 25 a draft state complex program for creation of national immunobiological medications "Ukrainian Vaccine" and a plan of measures for immunization of the Ukrainian population.

The government has given the Health Ministry time until Nov. 25 to draft a plan of measures on development and re-equipment of the state sanitary-and-epidemiologic service to hold inventory of presence and use of the Tamiflu medication by medical institutions in Ukraine purchased for the funds of the national budget. The Health Ministry is also obliged to submit until Nov. 25 its proposals on distribution of gauze respiratory masks.

Also, the Cabinet of Ministers has instructed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Health Ministry to complete the negotiations with the World Health Organization and leading producers of vaccines on purchase of vaccines for the pandemic flu and receiving the vaccines as humanitarian aid. The government has instructed the Health Ministry and the Finance Ministry to take measures to step up the implementation of agreements on supplies of medical equipment and ambulances concluded under state guarantees.

The governmentalso saidto distribute the analogue of the Tamiflu medication produced by the Zdorovia enterprise in Kharkiv for sale exclusively in Ukraine through drug stores at fixed prices.
