Russia, Ukraine seek broader ties in shipbuilding, aviation

The document orders the Ukrainian Industrial Policy Ministry and the Russian Industry and Trade Ministry to draw up a draft governmental memorandum on cooperation in the shipbuilding sector.
Russian and Ukrainian officials will also have to prepare a draft governmental agreement outlining measures of state support needed to restart the serial production of An-124 planes.
"The countries confirm that the integration of [Russia's] United Aircraft Corporation and [Ukraine's] Antonov company is a priority among efforts aimed at raising the level of bilateral cooperation in the aircraft manufacturing sector and ensuring the effective implementation of joint aviation programs," the protocol says.
