Yalta – Russia and Ukraine will soon agree the amount of Russian gas to be supplied next year, Russian Energy Minister Sergei Shmatko has said.

"The heads of the governments gave respective orders in this connection. We'll consider all of the necessary issues on specifying the amounts of gas for next year. I'm confident that our Ukrainian colleagues are interested in doing this as soon as possible," he told reporters in Yalta on Friday, while commenting on talks earlier held between the prime ministers of Ukraine and Russia.
