Lytvyn forecasts state budget for 2010 will not be passed on time
Nov 21, 2009 at 16:42 | Interfax-UkraineHe said at a press conference in Kirovohrad on Friday that during the presidential campaign some political forces are using the parliament's rostrum for their own goals.
"The Regions Party is currently criticizing all of the initiatives of the Cabinet of Ministers and is using the highest rostrum for this goal," Lytvyn said.
"The country's new budget should be adopted on time, ahead of presidential elections, in line with new social standards. Otherwise, Ukraine will get a budget with the minimum social component that won't be in favor of the Ukrainian people," he said.
Lytvyn said that if there had been no flu epidemic in the country, politicians would have invented anything else in order to distract public attention from real problems.
