The Foreign Ministry of Ukraine has charged its foreign diplomatic missions with studying the prices for medical equipment and medicines to fight the A/H1N1 flu epidemic.

"The Foreign Ministry has charged the diplomatic establishments with studying the prices offered directly by the manufacturers of medical equipment and medicines to inform the state agencies about buying them," Foreign Ministry Spokesman Valeriy Dzhyhun said during a briefing in Kyiv.

He said that the Foreign Ministry, its foreign diplomatic missions and the Health Ministry are working to obtain the samples of the vaccine for А/H1N1 flu, and to officially register it in Ukraine.

Dzhyhun added that Foreign Ministry regularly provides the Health Ministry with information from foreign vaccine manufacturers.
