You're reading: Number of flu patients in Lviv region exceeds 200,000

The number of those who have contracted flu and flu-like illnesses in Lviv region has exceeded 200,000 and totaled 200,755 from October 19 to November 24, the press service of Lviv Regional State Administration has told Interfax-Ukraine.

Some 2,028 people have fallen ill in the last 24 hours, and 151 have been hospitalized.

Twenty patients are in intensive care units, two of them being linked to artificial lung ventilation units.

A total of 9,314 patients have been discharged from hospitals since October 29, including 373 over the last 24 hours.

Ninety-four people have died of flu and flu-like illnesses in the region since the start of the flu epidemic.
