The Kyiv city sanitary and epidemiological station has said that the flu is over in Kyiv. According to the sanitary and epidemiological station, the indicators of the epidemic growth are 1.6 times lower the epidemic threshold.
Over this week, the epidemic lowered in all categories of age groups. This, the sanitary and epidemiological station said that the quarantine at schools and high education establishments was a proper measure.
During the epidemic period, a total of 142,889 people were caught flu and acute respiratory viral infections. A total of 3,650 people were hospitalized and 24 people died. The sanitary and epidemiological station registered similar overriding of the epidemic threshold in Kyiv in 1986.
It lasted for five weeks and 262,192 caught flu and acute respiratory viral infections.
As reported, the Kyiv city sanitary and epidemiological station obliged the high education establishments to prolong flu mask wearing regime until Dec. 10.
