The European Union will be represented at the Ukraine-EU summit 4 in Kyiv on December by European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso, Swedish Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt and EU Commissioner Benita Ferrero-Waldner, an informed source from the European Commission has told Interfax-Ukraine.

At the same time, neither newly appointed EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Baroness Catherine Ashton nor the previous holder of the post, Javier Solana, who vacates this post on Monday, are expected to attend in the summit.

The source said that this summit would be a routine one.

"Do not expect anything extraordinary from this summit," he added.
