You're reading: Tymoshenko launches city rail bus service in Lviv

Lviv, December 1 (Interfax-Ukraine) - Ukrainian Premier Yulia Tymoshenko has launched the first city rail bus in Lviv, which is intended to ease traffic congestion in the city's downtown.

The rail bus will run on the Lviv-Sykhiv-Lviv-Pidzamche route.

Tymoshenko also participated in measures dedicated to the launch of an enhanced-comfort electric train on the Lviv-Rivne route.

While visiting Lviv on Dec. 1, Tymoshenko inspected the train running on the Lviv-Rivne route, approved its launch, and went for a ride in the rail bus on the Lviv-Sykhiv route.

On arrival at Sykhiv station, Tymoshenko gave awards to Ukrzaliznytsia staff, congratulated those present at the meeting on the 18th anniversary of the national referendum on Ukraine’s independence and promised to assist in improving passenger transportation by Ukrzaliznytsia in Lviv.
