You're reading: Ukraine’s health ministry confirms 457 deaths of flu

The Health Ministry has confirmed 457 deaths of flu and acute respiratory viral infections from October 29 through December 4 in all 24 regions of Ukraine, the Crimean Autonomous Republic, the city of Sevastopol, and the city of Kyiv.

Ukrainian News learned this from a statement by the Health Ministry.

According to the statement, the Health Ministry registered 5 deaths of flu and acute respiratory viral infections over the past 24 hours, in Donetsk region, Zaporizhia region, Khmelnytskyi region, Cherkasy region, and the city of Kyiv.

Since 29 October, 2,020,178 people have been registered as those contracted flu and acute respiratory viral infections, including 41,227 over the past 24 hours.

Since the declaration of the flu epidemic in Ukraine on October 30, 122,318 people have been hospitalized with flu and acute respiratory viral infections, and 97,896 people have been discharged.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the Health Ministry confirmed 452 deaths of flu and acute respiratory viral infections from October 29 through December 3.
