You're reading: Health Ministry confirms 625 deaths by influenza and ARVI

The ministry of healthcare confirmed 625 deaths caused by influenza and acute respiratory viral infections starting from October 29 and into December 26 in all the 24 regions, the cities of Kyiv and Sevastopol, and in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the ministry has informed.

Ten people have died over the last 24 hours, including three in Donetsk region, two in Zaporizhia region, two in Odesa region, one in Kyiv region, one in Kirovohrad region, and one in Lviv region.

Totally 3,522,957 people have contracted influenza and acute respiratory viral infections since October 29, including 40,501 over the last 24 hours.

Since the start of the epidemic in Ukraine 196,979 people have been taken to hospitals, 160,313 discharged from hospitals.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the Health Ministry confirmed 597 deaths of influenza and acute respiratory viral infections between October 29 and December 24 in all the 24 regions, the cities of Kyiv and Sevastopol, and in Crimea.
