Gazprom has suspended its litigation with Naftogaz Ukraine at the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce over alleged violation of contractual terms on transiting natural gas to Europe by Naftogaz.

"We have suspended these proceedings and are not continuing them now," Gazprom spokesman Sergei Kupriyanov said on Echo Moskvy radio on Thursday.

None of Gazprom's European clients have sued Gazprom for irregularities in gas shipments in January 2009, Kupriyanov said. "We declared this force majeure, and all our clients agreed with that," Kupriyanov said.
