Health Ministry confirms 827 flu deaths
Jan 6, 2010 at 16:28 | Ukrainian News25 people have died in Crimea, 20 in Rivne region, 19 in Vinnytsia region, 17 in Sumy region, 15 in Poltava region, 13 in Mykolaiv region, 12 in Zhytomyr, Zakarpattia, and Kherson regions and in the city of Sevastopol each, 14 in Odesa region and 7 in Luhansk region.
Over the past 24 hours, 19 patients have died.
On the whole, starting on October 29, 2009, a total of 3,905,542 flu and acute respiratory virus infection cases have been registered, including 61,601 over the past 24 hours.
Since the beginning of the epidemic 225,925 patients have been rushed to hospital, and 189,019 released.
As Ukrainian News reported, over the October 29, 2009 - January 4, 2010 period, the health ministry confirmed 805 deaths of flu and ARVIs in all the 24 regions, Kyiv, Sevastopol and Crimea.
