Sevastopol, January 6 (Interfax) - Some 1,500 activists of parties and pubic movements for two hours picketed the Business and Culture Center where Oleh Tiahnybok, a right wing politician running of Ukrainian presidency, had a meeting with voters. An Interfax correspondent reports that the slogans of the picket were "Sevastopol is against fascism," "City administration, do you hear the opinion of city people," "No to fascism in Sevastopol."

The protest action involved activists of over 10 political parties and organizations, such as the Party of Regions, the Communist Party of Ukraine and the Slavic Party.

The police tried to prevent the picketers from the candidate’s meeting place with voters. Thanks to these efforts some 100 voters succeeded in attending the meeting.
